How to Root Galaxy Note 10.1


  1. On the computer install the proper drivers for the galaxy Note 10.1; you can do this bydownloading and installing KIES.
  2. Then, download the rooting file that is suitable with the variant of your device: for N8000 use the link from here, for N8010 the download link is here, for N8013 get the root package from hereand for N8020 you need to use the link from here.
  3. Also, on your computer download Odin.
  4. Extract the root package and Odin.
  5. Install Odin and open the same.
  6. Turn off the tablet and reboot in download mode.
  7. Download mode on Galaxy Note 10.1 can be entered by pressing on the Volume Down and Power buttons.
  8. With the device in download mode, connect the Note 10.1 with the computer by using its USB cable.
  9. Once you do that, on Odin the “added” message should be displayed.
  10. Also, the ID:COM section should be yellow; if not try to re-install the drivers and repeat the steps.
  11. From Odin, select the option named “PDA”.
  12. Select the root file and don’t make any other changes (the Re-partition option shouldn’t be ticked).
  13. Click on “start” for beginning the root operation.
  14. In the end, on Odin the “pass” message should be displayed.
  15. You can unplug the USB cable and reboot the handset.
